This is a public laboratory exchange sharing of the participating artsits month-long learnings and creative investigations into this technology as creators within the field of dance, taking place on March 27 as a part of the IN/ON/OUT Interarts Festival.
ABOUT THE MOTION CAPTURE CREATIVE LABORATORY
Throughout the month of March, Marc Cacho takes 3 dance artist through a series of four two-hour workshops in Motion Capture, focusing on suiting up in the motion capture suite, collecting accurate data, and applying that information to virtual reality and other platforms. In between sessions the artsits are given access to equipment to work on their own ideas, as well as remote support from Marc.
ABOUT THE WORKSHOP INSTRUCTOR: Marc Cacho
Graduating from the Toronto Film School in Game Design & Animation. Marc has experience and a passion for video games. Everything from Programming to Art and even Production, Marc loves to do it all. Currently operating as the Studio Lab Manager at New Media Manitoba, Marc assists the organisation with its training space and digital coordination; while also helping mentor the next generation of game devs and supporting the local game dev community.
